Lectotypification of the name Dillenia indica (Dilleniaceae)

We show that the prior designation of two plates from Rheede’s Hortus Malabaricus (1682) as the type of Dillenia indica does not constitute valid lectotypification. Therefore, one of the two illustrations published by Rheede is designated as the lectotype.
