Typification of Salvia x auriculata Mill. (Labiatae)

The group of intermediate sage cultivars of hybrid origin which was alternatively ascribed to Salvia fruticosa Mill. or S. officinalis L., is interpreted as their interspecific hybrid Salvia x auriculata Mill. Neotypification of Salvia auriculata Mill. is proposed to name these intermediate hybrids.
