Proposals to amend the Code are open until 31 March 2023 and are to be submitted via the procedure described by Turland & Wiersema (2020). The deadline has been extended by one year (previously 31 March 2022) with the move of the XX International Botanical Congress from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2023 to Madrid, Spain in 2024. Proposals are now to the Madrid Congress, whether published, submitted or yet to be submitted. Note: proposals should be in Word ".docx" or ".rtf" (not the older ".doc") format and sent to the Rapporteurs, Nicholas Turland (n.turland@bo.berlin) and John Wiersema (wiersemaj@si.edu).
